The New Operating Environment:

Adapting & Re-Imagining Operations in our Pandemic-Prone Age

Thursday, June 18th, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM Eastern

Please join us for The Project NEXT™ Forum on the New Operating EnvironmentAdapting & Re-Imagining Operations in our Pandemic-Prone Age. The online and highly interactive discussion will be held online Thursday, June 18 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Eastern. The Forum will convene stakeholders from a diversity of industries with subject matter experts from infectious disease and other key disciplines to answer two key questions:

I. What is next in this pandemic-prone age? And how can we make "next" not only safer but better and more resilient?
This is the mission of NYU’s Project NEXT, a vital international multi-stakeholder initiative that is advancing how we best adapt and re-imagine operations and the operating environment in response to the full spectrum of threats with immediate focus on COVID-19 – while also innovating for the better. We will outline this new global initiative and discuss how it can directly benefit your organization in responding to your immediate and long term challenges.

II. How do we effectively move people in this newly vulnerable world?Public transportation from home to office, school, entertainment and sports venues is vital to our organizations and wider economy. Project NEXT will host a discussion on public transportation - a key cross-cutting dependency. In urban areas worldwide, mass transit typically is the primary means of moving people. How will social distancing be achieved on crowded subways and buses? Will the physical structures be cleaned appropriately? What about the street grid? Most importantly, how can we bring back the confidence level of the traveling public?
